“Deep Calls to Deep” is taken from Psalm 42 in the bible where it says “Deep calls to deep”. The psalmist (singer/musician) is crying out in longing for God and in this verse it speaks to the depths of our humanity calling out to the depths of God. I have always been captivated by this small scentence in the bible, maybe because I'm a deep feeling kind of girly, but I think it also makes me wonder at the depths of all creation. We have yet to reach the end of galaxies and the very deepest parts of the sea we still don’t know all that it holds. I wanted to capture this idea of deep calling to deep, in both large scale but also with a sense of peace. I hope this calms your spirit and mind as you stare at its vast presence being reminded that there is so much out there we have yet to know and discover and yet the God of the universe knows you by name and he calls out to the very depths of you to meet you in his peace.
