“Silver Lining” was originally titled “The interuption of Grief”. Grief doesn’t have a timeline, nor does it warn you when it might pay you a visit. If you are someone familiar with grief you might be all too aware of this experience. One moment you can be full of joy and the next grief knocks heavy on your heart. But, grief doesn’t get to write the end of our stories. I believe that there is always light at the end of the dark tunnels, even if it feels lightyears away. So, in a moment of protest against grief writing my story, I decided to add the white and the line of silver. Creating “Silver Lining”. My hope is that as you see your own stories of grief reflected in this painting, that you would see the silver linings in your life. The light is at the end of the tunnels. Keep hoping, keep waiting, keep fighting, keep staying because your light could very well be someone else's joy and “silver lining”.
